Paper Jules Design has been a longtime dream of founder Julia R. Fullerton. Born in St. Petersburg, Russia but raised on the East Coast, Julia now lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She finds inspiration every day in the bold, bright beauty and clean lines of her adopted hometown.
Julia has always loved crafting. Her “ah-ha” moment, however, occurred during a class at New York’s School of Visual Arts in 2006, when a guest speaker’s stationery success story made her seriously consider starting her own line. . . and Paper Jules was born.
A year later, she launched Paper Jules at New York’s National Stationery Show, and soon gained the attention of Real Simple and The Knot. While living in New York, she also worked in the Visual Design/PR Department of Tiffany & Company and in the Creative Department of Virgin Records.
Although at times she misses the lush greenery of the New England coast, she is bowled over by Santa Fe sunsets, which she is lucky enough to enjoy with her husband of a year and eight months, John, and their rambunctious yet wholly “Zen” puppy, Taj.
